The source code for the forthcoming Samsung Droid Charge (formerly the Samsung LTE smartphone) has been posted ahead of its release later this month on Samsung’s Open Source portal under the heading SCH-i510. The Droid Charge will be the first Samsung Android device on Verizon branded under the DROID umbrella of devices and feature a 4.3 Super AMOLED Plus display, 4G LTE support, 8.0 megapixel camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls underpinned by the single-core Hummingbird processor. The smartphone is expected to be released tomorrow Thursday for $299.99.
