iPhone 5 Now July Production with September Shipping

It seems like the word on the iPhone 5 keeps shifting day to day and only yesterday the word was that production on the next generation iOS smartphone would begin in September, now though apparently that production will start in July.

According to an article over on 9to5 Mac, Reuters are reporting that Apple suppliers are to begin production of the iPhone 5 as it has become known, in July / August and will ship in September according to three people “familiar with the matter.”

One of the unnamed sources apparently said that the “new smartphone will have a faster processor, but will look largely similar to the current iPhone 4.”

This seems to tally with recent speculation over what the iPhone 5 will offer, although these rumours change from day to day, but if this one pans out we just may see Apple release the iPhone 5 sometime in September.

So who’ll be overjoyed if Apple does deliver the iPhone 5 in September, are you eager to update your current iPhone?
