AT&T U-verse TV, Free 3D Film, ESPN 3D, 3D content to U-verse TV, 3D Film Giants of Patagonia, 3D Film Dinosaurs Alive, 3D Film Wild Ocean, 3D Film Mummies
AT&T today announced the addition of six new 3D films to the AT&T U-verse TV 3D Technology Package. U-verse TV 3D subscribers can now enjoy “Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia,” “Dinosaurs Alive,” “Wild Ocean” and “Mummies” in stunning 3D at no extra charge. AT&T will also add the “Bugs” and “Adventures in Animation” films in early October.
For new 3D TV owners who want to see what the 3D experience is all about, AT&T has made “Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia” available to every U-verse TV customer at no extra charge. You can find the films in the U-verse On Demand library under 3D in the “Featured” folder.
The U-verse 3D Technology Package also includes ESPN 3D, which will telecast a featured college football game almost every week and the 2011 BCS National Championship Game in 3D this football season. The ESPN 3D channel is available on channel 1610 to U-verse TV customers (with the U100 package or above and HD service). Customers can instantly upgrade to the 3D Technology Package for $10 per month through the new Account Manager app, rolling out on a market-by-market basis on channel 9910.
3D programming is supported on all customers’ existing U-verse DVRs and receivers, without any additional set up or U-verse equipment upgrades. Customers will also need a 3D-ready TV set and 3D glasses.
AT&T offers thousands of On Demand movies and TV shows in the U-verse TV On Demand library and on U-verse Online, an entertainment web site that lets you watch streaming TV shows, movies and video clips on your PC.
