With the ever-changing world of technology, it was only but a matter of time before we would see 3D coming to our smartphones.
We are starting to see the introduction of 3D technology being brought into mobile market. Some devices already have this new technology like the LG Optimus 3D and who knows we may even see it introduced to the new iPhone 5 when it eventually launches.
New information is reaching us from the guys at IDB, regarding a 3 dimensional tech demo for the iPhone 4, which was created by Laurence Nigay and Jeremie Francone of the research group Engineering Human-Computer Interaction (EHCI) and which, uses the phones front-facing camera.
We have previously reported on this 3D technology created by EHCI in a recent article regarding the iPad 2. By using the front-facing camera of the iPhone 4 or iPad 2 and new head-tracking technology, the engineers are able to access where the user is in relation to the graphic on-screen.
