Nokia Siemens Networks appoints new CFO

Dr Marco Schrter replaces Luca Maestri who leaves to join Xerox Corporation

Nokia Siemens Networks has appointed Dr Marco Schrter (pictured) as its new chief financial officer and member of the executive board.

Schrter, who will start work on March 14 joins Nokia Siemens from Infineon Technologies AG in Munich where he held the same position.

He replaces Luca Maestri who joins the Xerox Corporation as chief financial officer.

Nokia Siemens chief executive Rajeev Suri said: “Marco has a strong track record of disciplined financial management and helping deliver growth and shareholder value.

“As we continue our turnaround, I am confident he has the right skills and experience to help take Nokia Siemens Networks to the next level of performance.”

Schrter said: “Having looked carefully at Nokia Siemens Networks, I believe the company is in the strongest position it has ever been – and I am pleased to join the team at such an important time.”
