Verizon Rolls Out LTE in Detroit and Confirms HP Pre 2

HP Palm Pre 2Verizon Wireless has announced that it has expanded its LTE network to Michigan with the roll out of LTE service in the city of Detroit, with the carrier stating that the network covers 80% of the metro Detroit population. Read More for a list of cities covered by the network.

In related news, Verizon has also confirmed pricing and launch details for the forthcoming HP Pre 2.The HP Pre 2 will be launched on Thursday February 17th for $199.99 before an additional $50 rebate, bringing the total to $149.99. The Pre 2 features a 3.1-inch HVGA resolution multi-touch glass-front display, 16GB of internal storage, GPS support via A-GPS, Exchange support, accelerometer, ambient light and proximity sensors, Wi-Fi radio, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a 3.5mm headphone jack along with a 5.0 megapixel camera and upgraded 1Ghz processor with 512MB of RAM.
