HTC Desire HD gets Flourishing Port of Android 3.0 Honeycomb

There is good news for HTC HD users as the tablet-optimized version of Android is successfully ported into HTC Desire HD. Although Honeycomb is a tablet OS from Android but this port has opened a new horizon of endless possibilities of Honeycomb smartphones.

Earlier it was rumoured to have an Android Honeycomb smartphone from Motorola (Motorola Bee) and this port is going to lead the way for the rest. Honeycomb is ported to the HTC Desire HD by t3hh4xx0r.com team and the build is available for download too.

However, this build of Honeycomb on your HTC HD only lets you interact with the Honeycomb user interface. You cannot use your Smartphone’s ordinary function like calling, texting and using internet and Wi-Fi. But at least a port is possible meaning that a fully functional ROM of Honeycomb can get to smartphone. You can try it yourself too by downloading the SDK Preview Build.

After you download it, just flash the ROM with CloclworkMod Recovery. Remember that this is only an experimental build of Android 3.0 Honeycomb so you can get your phone brick. Extreme caution and good knowledge of Android Rooting and Flashing ROMs is pre-requisite for porting this ROM into your HTC HD.
