MetroPCS Announces Two New Visual Voicemail Services

MetroPCS logoMetroPCS has announced the launch of two new visual voicemail services for select handsets starting with smartphones.Visual Voicemail allows customers to see their voicemails listed on the phone and listen to them while Visual Voicemail Plus adds transcriptions of the messages. Both options let customers respond to voice messages via phone call, text, MMS, and/or email. Visual Voicemail is included on the $45 plan for non smartphones and non 4G phones, while smartphones and 4G phones require the $50 monthly plan with an additional $5 monthly charge for Visual Voicemail Plus on each plan.

The service will first be available on the the Samsung Galaxy Indulge, the LG Optimus M, and the Huawei Ascend. Visual voicemail will be made available to the Blackberry 8530 and BREW-based phones in the future.
