For those over in India who have hopes of picking up the first PlayStation phone out of the Sony Ericsson camp, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, the word is that you don’t have too long to wait to get your hands on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread toting device.
According to an article over on PC World, the guys at Androidos have said that “trusted sources” say the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play will come out to play in India by the end of next month and after a couple of other Sony Ericsson smartphones.
So the word is before India gains the Xperia Play they will also see release of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and Sony Ericsson Neo, although apparently the end of April release for the Xperia Play could well slip into May.
Price wise the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is expected to command a price tag of somewhere in the region of Rs. 34000; spec wise the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play offers a 4-inch touch screen, 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, Bluetooth, WiFi, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, GPS and of course the PlayStation slide out gamepad.
