NAVIGON has expanded its product range, adding the NAVIGON 70 Easy and NAVIGON 70 Plus Live to its 5-inch segment. “With the extra variety in this product class, we are making it easier for our customers to find the right large-screen device for them,” says Jrn Watzke, Executive Vice President of Product Line Management at NAVIGON.
A small device with a big display
The NAVIGON 70 Easy meets the need of everybody who wants to benefit from a clearly designed 5” display, but who can do without features of the Plus and Premium devices. The navigation device has all the functions needed for reliable route calculation. The “Active Lane Assistant” offers even greater safety for when the traffic gets hectic. It shows a travelling animation that tells the driver when he needs to start indicating for lane changes. In addition to “NAVIGON My Best POI”, “NAVIGON MyRoutes” and “Reality View Pro” are included amongst other features. The “One Click Menu” enables the user to see his three favourite POIs, by clicking anywhere on the display. Car drivers also benefit from a bigger screen, since information, which is not permanently used, is hidden automatically. Additionally own destinations can be imported via the Fresh-Software. They can be arranged in individually named groups.
The first Plus device with Live Services
The NAVIGON 70 Plus Live includes all the features of its little brother, the NAVIGON 70 Easy, and additionally is the first NAVIGON device outside of the Premium range to also include five Live Services for twelve months.
These are: “Google Local Search”, “Mobile Safety Camera Live”, “Weather Live”, “Clever Parking Live” and the improved “Traffic Live”. The real-time traffic service, which provides information on obstructions on motorways, now also informs on main and country roads. This extensive range of features makes the device a reliable companion for demanding frequent drivers. Besides the Active Lane Assistant, the NAVIGON 70 Plus Live also has “Reality View Pro”, “Text-to-Speech” as well as “NAVIGON Sightseeing” on board. That way, travellers can discover new points of interest on the route. They receive detailed information on opening hours or contact data.
Price and availability
The two new devices will be available from mid May. The NAVIGON 70 Easy costs €149, and the NAVIGON 70 Plus Live is now on sale for €229. The launch of the new devices will also see the introduction of the NAVIGON Discount Booklet, including four NAVIGON Services for purchase at a discount price.
