Sprint CTIA 2011 Announcement Plans and Details Revealed

CTIA 2011 isn’t that far off and it appears that some of the announcements that Sprint had planned of making at CTIA have been revealed before the event, probably to the chagrin of Sprint of course, so let’s find out what devices have been revealed.

According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report, their sources have revealed that Sprint will announce the HTC EVO 3D smartphone, the HTC EVO View 4G, and the Android 3.0 Honeycomb Motorola Xoom, which we have previously heard about.

Along with the revealed announcements comes some juicy specs on said devices…the HTC EVO 3D will sport a 4.3-inch qHD Autosterioscopic 3D display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, two rear facing 5 megapixel cameras, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, dedicated camera button, 1080p and 720p video output, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, 4GB RAM, 1GB ROM, (however apparently those could reverse) and Blockbuster 3D on demand and YouTube 3D apps.

Next the HTC EVO View 4G smartphone will sport a 7-inch capacitive touch screen, aluminium unibody, 5 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, DNLA, HDMI out, HTC Sense UI, HTC Scribe with pen support optional, and will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

As for the Motorola Xoom for Sprint, the Android 3.0 Honeycomb device will be the same as the Verizon version and will support WiMAX as we’ve previously heard. Other devices apparently to be offered by Sprint include a WiMAX and a WiFi version of the RIM BlackBerry Playbook, and the Samsung Rant 3, which is apparently a 3G messaging handset.

So there it is, do you think Sprint will have anything left to announce at CTIA 2011? Perhaps they have managed to keep something under wraps for the event, guess we’ll have to wait and see.
