Today Sprint and Telespree Communications, the leading provider of mobile service management and on-device customer experience solutions, introduced the next evolution of Mobile Broadband on Demand. This first ever Wholesale prepaid data solution is now available on Novatel’s MiFi2200, an innovative credit card sized device that can wirelessly enable up to five devices at a time. The MiFi2200 joins the Novatel U760 and Sierra 598U data cards. Telespree has also deployed new feature functionality for Mobile Broadband on Demand including an enhanced user interface and new self-service account management tools. Mobile Broadband on Demand is available for Sprint Wholesale partners.
Sold through Telespree, Mobile Broadband on Demand provides Sprint Wholesale partners an easy to use and economical way for their customers to experience mobile broadband through time or usage based plans – whether by day, week, month and/or megabyte and gigabyte options. Consumers can enjoy an “off the shelf” experience; they simply purchase the partner-branded mobile broadband solution, select the data plan of their choice, and connect. No retail or customer care assistance is required. Consumers can also easily track data usage from an interactive graphical user interface on the desktop that shows real-time data and time used as well as expiration status. Low usage alerts enable consumers to easily monitor their service as well as purchase additional data as needed.
“Our no contract mobile broadband service makes technology accessible and affordable for our customers so they can stay connected anytime, anywhere and easily change plans as their needs evolve,” said Paul McAleese, chief executive officer of i-wireless LLC. i-wireless Mobile Broadband service is available in more than 1,700 Kroger-owned stores throughout the US. Mobile Broadband on Demand is a turnkey mobile data product with optional over-the-air activation that appeals to a wide variety of enterprises enabling them to add wireless broadband to their portfolio. Sprint Wholesale partners range from traditional MVNO wireless partners to companies that cater to more casual mobile data users such as mass market retailers, rental car companies, airport kiosks, hotels and more.
“Mobile Broadband on Demand offers our Sprint Wholesale partners a branded solution that addresses their specific market segments, device needs and business models,” said Matt Carter, president – Sprint Global Wholesale Solutions.
Telespree works directly with each Sprint partner to design its specific service offering for Mobile Broadband on Demand. Telespree can integrate into existing partner backend systems or provide a turnkey solution to enable a quick time to market.
“The new devices and additional feature functionality of Mobile Broadband on Demand will appeal to a broad range of customers,” said Ellen Schwab, chief executive officer, Telespree. “The solution provides expanded subscriber controls and monitoring capabilities, further enhancing the quality of experience.”
