US Cellular Launches Samsung Character

Adding an additional Samsung phone that makes the total count to seven, US Cellular has just launched the Samsung Character for those who are looking to experience a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen without the option to pay extra for a smartphone OS. It also features a full QWERTY keypad, which slides out on the side of the phone. It also has a basic 1.3-megapixel rear camera, a built-in browser that connects through the WAP network, and even has its widget support, which mimics smartphones without the extra cost, although it is limited to three screens.

It also has voice recognition software, can connect with other devices via Bluetooth 2.1, and has expandable memory through MicroSD for 32GB maximum, which makes the built-in music player into good use. All running on a Samsung TouchWiz Lite UI, this phone will give a decent experience for only $39.99 on a two-year contract.
