Apple Files Second Complaint Against HTC, Asks To Ban Imports

It’s been a good year or so since Apple and HTC were originally duking it out in the court room over Android patent infringements. The case has gone rather quiet since its original filing, until today when the ITC posted a new complaint filed by Apple against HTC. This time, the Cupertino-based company hopes to block imports of “personal electronic devices” made by HTC.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen phone makers take to the ITC to trip up competition. Just recently, Samsung filed for an import ban on Apple handsets, just one of the many complaints that have arisen during the phone makers’ epic patent war. The complaint against HTC was filed July 8, but just today made its way onto the ITC website. On August 5, a judge will present her decision over whether or not HTC’s Android phones violate Apple patents. After that, the ITC will review the findings and make the final call.

HTC hasn’t sat idly by as Apple complains. The Taiwanese manufacturer filed a similar complaint to the ITC asking for its own import ban on Apple products. Findings on that case will be presented September 16.
